The Singletrak Pack should have a snug, athletic fit.
To determine the best size to try for your pup, measure around your dog's chest (around the widest part of the ribcage.
The pack should not fit too loose so as to ensure stability.
Small - fits 23-28" or 58-71cm chests
Medium - fits 28-34" or 71-86cm chests
Large - fits 35-45" or 86-114cm chests
All packs have the same 2.4 L capacity.
“We’re also very happy with backpack (Singletrak Pack), and our dog enjoys wearing it too. He’s a giant breed (Leonberger) but the Large fits him well, with room to spare around his girth.
I especially like that the front straps sit down on his sternum rather than up on his windpipe like a lot of other brands. I took him for a run this morning and the backpack performed really well – the harness fits perfectly and the siwash-type front means that it doesn’t impede his shoulder movement at all when he’s running.
We didn’t buy it for carrying water in particular, there are streams most of the places we go, but we wanted a sleek, low profile backpack to carry just a few small items (like gloves, hat, light windjacket, phone etc) and these all fit perfectly with no wasted space to spare (or catch on bushes!).
Very happy with the product. Money well spent.
